Buckwheat, Quinoa, Amaranth and Millet are all gluten free grains that have a history stretching back to ancient times. They are part of out nutritional heritage.
Buckwheat is not actually a grain. Despite its name it is a herb, related to rhubarb. It contains rutin, a useful bioflavonid. Buckwheat is used in the Orgran Buckwheat Pasta Spirals and Buckwheat Pancake mix
Amaranth, which is easily digested, is in the Multigrain Pasta Spirals and Quinoa, a complete protien, is used in the Multigrain Pasta Penne and Multigrain O’s breakfast cereal.
Millet is an alkaline grain and is a main ingredient in Orgran Rice and Millet Spiral pasta.
