With Fairtrade fortnight coming up we are considering what to do, in our home town the Fairtrade Group will be holding a number of events to promote the cause.
In the shop we will of course have our usual Fairtrade products for tasting and purchase, one thing we are considering is offering a Fairtrade Coffee with Fairtrade and Gluten free biscuits, if you don’t want a biscuit how about a sustaining Fairtrade bar.

Ground almonds are a great baking ingredient, especially for gluten free cooking. Unfortunately they can be expensive; therefore you need to buy the quantity that is right for you. At Naturally Good Food we offer a wide range pack sizes from 100g all the way up to 10kg. As we pack the larger sizes ourselves under our organic license they represent great savings.

- Bulk Organic Wholefoods - we sell large quantities of pulses and beans, for great saving, lentils and pulses keep well so buy what you need for a while.
- Bulk Organic Nuts - if you use nuts every day in cooking or just because you like them then buying in bulk can represent a great saving, good if you use ground almonds in cooking to avoid gluten.
- Bulk Organic Seeds - with seeds on your breakfast it is surprising how quickly you use a small packet, buying a large pack of expensive seeds is a great saving.

It is good to get the new year off with some new products from Orgran, as always with orgran the product is gluten free and great tasting. The new products this month are all gluten free crispbreads, there are three new varieties :

Trying to stock the complete range of gluten free food we have recently started to stock the Hale and Hearty Gluten free range. The aim of the Hale and Hearty range is to combine good nutrition with excellent taste, we’ve only just started to try the range at home and certainly the chocolate brownie mix came up to the mark. Hale & Hearty’s Gluten Free Oats are the purest on the market. Tests for gluten show at 5ppm which means no trace of gluten found.
Currently the range includes gluten free cake mixes, breakfast cereals pasta and pancake mixes. As with all purchases from Naturally Good Food we offer a 10% case saving.
