A useful large bag of small round green pulses with a little white 'eye' where they were attached to the pod, Mung beans are a versatile pulse which cooks quite quickly. They make a good addition to stews, rice dishes and soups, and cooked and cooled can be used in salads
Low in saturated fat and quite high in protein they also are a good source of many minerals and fibre.
