Butter Beans are a great bean for all year round use. These organic Butter Beans are large and creamy-coloured beans which when cooked become lovely and soft, witha crumbly texture which soaks up gravy or sauces beautifully.
They make a great vegetarian pate and work well in mixed bean salads, or in winter rich stews or casseroles. They are also a useful source of potassium.
Butter beans are also known as Lima Beans. Remember that they are best soaked overnight in plain water before rinsing and cooking.
