This deliciously green cold pressed oil is high in omega 3 and 6 oils, rich in vitamin E and monounsaturates. With a nutty flavour it can be used in place of olive oil for dipping bread as well as going really well in salad dressings. Unexpectedly it has a high smoke point (190 degrees C) and so is fine for stir frying or even deep frying.
The oil is a lovely green colour which becomes clear when you cook with it. You can use avocado oil in place of butter in cakes and muffins, so really it is surprisingly versatile and deserves to be used more!
